2010 Won the Apuila San Domenico Grand Final on the European Challenge Tour.
Matt made a miraculous start to his professional career as he finished second in the overall European Challenge Tour Rankings, securing his maiden title at the season ending Grand Final in 2010.
A fine debut campaign for the talented youngster from Kent yielded five top tens, including the runner-up spot at the dual ranking SAINT-OMER OPEN presented by Neuflize OBC in only his fourth appearance, a week after he came tied fifth in the Scottish Hydro Challenge.
The highlights of an illustrious amateur career which included eight wins were his victories at the 2008 Lytham Trophy – where he became the event’s youngest winner – and the 2010 Spanish Open Amateur Championship, where by beating fellow rising star Tommy Fleetwood into second place he rose to fourth in the World Amateur Golf Rankings. Like Fleetwood, he was also a member of Great Britain and Ireland’s Walker Cup team in 2009.
Supported by Nike and TaylorMade and currently playing out of Rochester and Cobham Golf Club, Matt is once again picking up his game as he will compete on the Hotel Planner.com EuroPro Tour in the 2016 season with a view to claiming one of the 5 cards for the European Challenge Tour. The season kicks off in May at Frilford Heath and everyone at Champions of Golf wishes Matthew the best for the season ahead.
