In search of some warm weather Champions of Golf professional Peter Baker headed to America, and the scene of the PGA Champions Tour finale, the Charles Schwab Cup, Arizona, for The 2016 Arizona Classic Pro-Am presented by John Hooper and his team and Pro-Am Tour.
Expertly run over the past 23 years establishing a base of well know, popular and professionally organised events, husband and wife duo, Alison and John, work with some of the world's leading golf resorts including Scottsdale and Sawgrass to give professionals and amateurs the best possible lifetime experiences.
This week was no exception as the teams headed to Arizona, and competed on several quality golf courses including venue for the Waste Management Phoenix Open on the PGA Tour, TPC Scottsdale.
However, with some strong competition Peter prevailed as the 2016 champion, making it two Champions of Golf winners in two years, after Paul Broadhurst took the title in 2015.
Paul has this week flown to Palm Springs to take part, with his team, in the next Pro-Am Tour event, The 2016 California Classic Pro-Am, where he has already won the Welcome Challenge Event played on Sunday 27th November, scoring 41 points, beating his nearest rival by a single point. You can check back here to see how Paul gets on back in America.
Congratulations to Peter, certainly on the right track to making a big hit on the European Senior Tour when he turns 50 at the end of 2017.
Good luck for this week Paul.
