Senior Open Champion and Farmfoods ambassador Paul Broadhurst this weekend claimed yet another trophy in what has been a fantastic season on the European Senior Tour and PGA Champions Tour, the John Jacobs Trophy.

Annually awarded to the person who tops the Order of Merit after the final putt is holed at the season grand finale in Mauritius, the John Jacobs Trophy will sit alongside the Rookie of the Year title that Paul won in 2015, after winning on debut at the Prostate Cancer UK Scottish Senior Open at Archerfield, becoming one of only a handful of players to be Rookie of the Year on both the senior tour and the main European Tour.

Whilst Paul was in strong contention to win in Mauritius, pushing eventual winner Barry Lane all the way to the 54th hole, the second place finish was enough for Paul to secure the Order of Merit crown by almost €190,000, thanks to his dramatic win at the Senior Open championship earlier in the year.

Congratulations to Paul on an unprecedented 12 months on the European Senior Tour and PGA Champions Tour, and the very best from everyone at Champions of Golf for the 2017 season.

Also a huge thank you to all of Paul's sponsors and supporters throughout this season and his career, Powwownow, Trinity Sports, Total Motion, Farmfoods, Glenbrae, Stromberg, Druh, TaylorMade, Footjoy and Titleist.
