Broadhurst misses out on MCB title but does claim Rookie of the Year trophy

Total Motion UK ambassador Paul Broadhurst returned to European Senior Tour action last week at the season ending finale, the MCB Tour Championship in Mauritius at the beautiful Constance Belle Mare Plage estate.

It had been quite a while since the tours last outing, the French Riviera Masters in early October, but Paul had been working hard on his game in his down time and even took the trip over to america, where after a Pro-AM Tour win he narrowly missed out on claiming his main PGA Champions Tour card for 2016.

However, he headed into the week still in good spirits and the week got off to a strong start as he fired an opening round of 69, three under par. Despite a second round 72 which he matched also in round three Paul finished in a tie for 10th place which along with his victory at the Prostate Cancer UK Scottish Senior Open and 4th place at the French Riviera Masters rounded off a superb firs season on the European Senior Tour.

Paul has still managed to get his hands on another piece of silverware though, the European Senior Tour Rookie of the Year title. an honour that his sable mate at Champions of Golf, Gary Wolstenholme MBE, claimed in his debut season. Paul will be presented with the trophy at the tours Annual Awards Dinner at Woburn Golf Club during the Travis Perkins PLC Senior Masters event in 2016.

From everyone at Champions of Golf congratulations to Paul for a fantastic 2015 and the very best wishes for 2016, plus a big thank you to all of his sponsors including Farmfoods, Total Motion UK, Trinity Sports, Glenbrae, Stromberg, Skechers, Titleist and TaylorMade.
