Following on from his stunning 6th place finish at the inaugural Sharjah Senior Golf Masters earlier this month at the Sharjah Golf and Shooting Club, his first appearance on the European Senior Tour since the MCB Tour Championships in December 2016, and the season’s first event.
However, after a week at home Paul has now headed back to the PGA Tour Champions for the Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic in Biloxi, Mississippi. A course that last year proved a stern test as the 2nd hardest non-major course on the Champions Tour which played at 1.212 strokes over par. Not that eventual champion Miguel Angel Jimenez found the course too tricky!
Paul is currently in 19th position on the Charles Schwab Cup rankings and will be keen to improve on that with a strong finish this week in Mississippi.
You can follow Paul’s progress from Friday 31st March, in round one alongside Lee Janzen and Duffy Waldorf teeing off at 11.10 local time, online at http://www.pgatour.com/champions/leaderboard.html
