Challenge Tour is back!

This week, after a long layoff, the European Challenge Tour is back in action and we are delighted that two of the Champions of Golf stable will be teeing it up at the Red Sea Egyptian Challenge presented by Hassan Allam Properties Sokhna GC.

Aberdeen Asset Management ambassador Scott Henry (above) will take to the first tee at 12.20 (11.20 UK time) on Wednesday 20th April for the opening round in Egypt having made the cut in his previous three events of 2016, T59 Joburg Open, T49 Tshwane Open and T33 at the last Challenge Tour event, The Barclays Kenya Open in March.

Scott for this season will be mixing his time between the European Tour and the Challenge Tour due to his ranking and after playing this week will compete in the Challenge de Madrid followed by the European Tour's Trophee Hassan II at the start of May.

Nike professional Marcus Armitage will also be heading to Egypt to take part in the Red Sea Egyptian Challenge. His first event as a European Challenge Tour professional was a steep learning curve for Marcus at The Barclays Kenya Open due to the weather, length of course, slope and grain of greens amongst other things but he is full of confidence this week after winning his most recent 1836 Tour event at Dunham Forest.

Marcus begins his week in Egypt from the 11th tee at 08.30 (07.30 UK time) alongside Joshua White and Oscar Stark.

We wish both Scott and Marcus the very best for their weeks in Egypt and you can follow all of the live scoring through the European Tour website at - http://www.europeantour.com/challengetour/season=2016/tournamentid=2016
