Challenge Tour flies into Italy

Following the success of the Turkish Airlines Challenge last week the Challenge Tour has this week set down in Italy at Golf Della Montecchia, in Padvoa for the Montecchia Open by Lyoness. As usual Champions of Golf are well represented on the European Challenge Tour this week with three of its professionals in action in Italy.

Scott Henry competed strongly last week in Morocco at the Trophee Hassan II after finishing in a tie for 34th position but returns to Challenge Tour action this week rather than venturing out to Mauritius for the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open. Scott currently occupies 37th position on the Challenge Tour Order of Merit but will be hoping that another good week in Italy will boost his ranking.

2015 Challenge Tour Cordon Golf Open winner Scott Arnold will also be taking to the fairways in Italy this week in search of his second title in as many years. With full exemption to all events as a previous seasons winner Scott started the season after the Barclays Kenya Open and so has only played a couple of tournaments but making the cut in both at the Challenge de Madrid and Turkish Airlines Challenge last week.

The final Champions of Golf competitor in action in Italy is Marcus Armitage. Nike ambassador Marcus is playing his first season on the Challenge Tour having progressed from the Hotel Planner.com EuroPro Tour last year with a top 5 Order of Merit finish. With his best finish this season so far coming last week at the Turkish Airlines Open, Marcus is adapting well to life on tour and will only improve as the season continues.

We wish everyone well for their week in Italy and to keep up to speed with the latest scoring please log onto the Challenge Tour website at www.europeantour.com.
