Challenge Tour swings into China

THis week sees the inaugural hosting of the Shankai Classic presented by IDG to be held at the Chongqing Poly Golf Club in China on the European Challenge Tour.

As the season draws to a close the final four events, two in China followed by Oman and the Grand FInal in Dubai on the 5th November, everyone teeing it up in China will certainly have one eye on the top 15 spots on the Order of Merit as they automatically earn a spot on the 2015 European Tour Race to Dubai, the pinnacle tour in Europe. Therefore the competition will be tough as the prize is so great and the man defending the most precarious position, currently 15th, is Champions of Golf's own Scott Henry.

Also playing this week from the Champions stable is Jason Palmer who is currently 50th on the Order of Merit and €28,000 benhind the top 15 so will be hoping for a strong week in the $350,000 prize fund event.

Scott begins his first round alongside Oliver Farr and Mu Hu teeing off in round one at 12.40 (05.40 UK time) on Thursday (16th October) and again partnering the same payers in round two at 08.20 (01.20 UK time) the following day. Jason will tee off at 08.40 (01.40 UK time) on day one and 13.10 (06.10 UK time on day two alongside Jack Senior and Jia Zhang.
