This week on tour, Champions of Golf will be featuring on the European Senior Tour, European Tour and PGA Scotland Tour at home and in Austria.
Gary Wolstenholme
The Lee Westwood attached Close House Resort in Newcastle-upon-Tyne is the location for this weeks European Senior Tour event as Gary takes part in the ISPS Handa PGA Championships. Since the events inception in 1992, it has undergone many changes including its title sponsor and more recently the host venue which have included Mottram Hall, Slaley Hall and The Belfry.
Gary's best finish in the event came in 2012 when he finished in 11th position when the event was played in Slaley Hall as Paul Wesselingh went on to win the first of two Senior PGA titles.
Scott Henry
After experiencing a very blustery Sunday at the Nordea Masters on the European Tour last week whilst in contention for the tournament glory, Scott learnt a lot about himself and his game as well as proving to the golfing world the European Tour is where the young Scot belonged. This week is no exception as he tees up in Austria for the Lyoness Open Powered by Greenfinity.
Coverage will be live on Sky Sports throughout the week as Scott prepares to begin his challenge for the Lyoness title on Thursday morning at 9am local time.
Jason Palmer
Ahead of his trip to America for the US Open, the first major of his career having qualified recently at Walton Heath, Jason is also taking part in the Lyoness Open in Austria. He previously had a week off due to a very busy upcoming schedule but in order to get his game in the best possible shape ahead of one of the biggest events in world golf, he spent the last week at home in Kirby Muxloe, Leicestershire, practicing hard.
Gareth Wright
On the back of gaining his spot at the PGA Cup later in the year as well as finishing in a tie for second position at the recent PGA Professionals Championship, Gareth Wright is taking part in the PGA Scotland Northern Open at Cruden Bay Golf Club.
Gareth begins the event on Tuesday 9th June and it runs until Friday 11th June
Good luck as always to all of the Champions of Golf professionals playing this week.
