This week as the Challenge Tour season draws to a close three Champions of Golf professionals are battling it out in Kazakhstan and Gary Wolstenholme is back out in Germany for the WINSTONgolf Senior Open.
Having had a week off after the Open Blue Green Cotes d’Armor Bretagne event which concluded on the 7th Sepotember, Scott Henry, Scott Arnold and Jason Palmer have all used the time to work on their games ahead of the Kazakhstan Open, one of the most lucrative events on the Challenge Tour. There are only 6 events left on the Challenge Tour including Kazakhstan as players are competing for the top 40-60 spots in the order of merit to qualify for the final series in China, Oman and Dubai.
After a slow start to the season for the European Seniors, the tournament are now coming thick and fast and this weeks, the WINSTONgolf Senior Open in Germany, is the sixth event in a row for Gary and the rest of the Senior professionals. Having recorded a top 20 finish in Portugal last week, shooting five under par even after a disappointing second round 77, Gary is taking positive thoughts with him as his season too begins to draw to a close. Currently residing in 33rd position on the Order of Merit he will certainly be hoping for a strong finish to the year.
