With just 5 months to go before the annual British Par 3 Championship, at Nailcote Hall, preparation is well under way for another successful event. This years event from 8th-11th August promises to be bigger than ever featuring leading professionals form the golfing world and a host of celebrity faces all battling it out round the picturesque 9 hole course for a share of the €150,000 Pro-Am prize fund.
Last years event, hosted by Tony Jacklin CBE, was won by Mark Mouland who beat off a strong field of 60 including Charley Hull, Edoardo Molinari and Ian Woosnam OBE. Last years Norma C Heard Silver Salver for the leading amateur was won by the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing and reality TV star James Jordan ahead of other big names such as Westlife singer Brian McFadden and current England cricket international Jonny Bairstow. The gala dinner, always a highlight of the week, will again bring a close to the event. Live entertainment and a charity auction, in aid of Rainbows Hospice for Children, will be enjoyed by guests and be a great chance to celebrate the weeks winners.
