European Challenge Tour Starts Second leg in China

Following the success of the inaugural Shankai Classic on the European Challenge Tour last week, the players, officials and staff remain in China for the second event in as many weeks; the Foshan Open.

First hosted by Foshan Golf Club in 2013 the event was won by Nacho Elvira with a four round total of 14 under par, with a chasing pack of six players finishing within four shots of the winning score.

Champions of Golf is represented in China by Jason Palmer and Scott Henry who finished in a tie for 44th and 40th respectively last week at the Shankai Classic.

These results have slightly affected the European Challenge Tour Order of Merit rankings as Scott moves to 16th place overall and Jason currently occupies 51st with the top 45 players heading to the season ending Dubai Festival City Challenge Tour Grand Final at the Al Badia Golf Club in Dubai in two weeks time, following the conclusion of this week and the National Bank of Oman Classic next week.

Jason begins round one on Thursday alongside Chris Hanson and Martin Wiegele teeing off at 11.30 (04.30 UK time) in round one and then at 07.10 (00.10 UK time) for round two.

Scott begins round one at 07.20 (00.20 UK time) partnering Mark Tullo and Fangyi Li who he also plays alongside in round two at 11.50 (04.50 UK time) on Friday.
