With the tee times hot off the press for the first two rounds of the Hotel Planner.com EuroPro Final Qualifying School event at Frilford Heath, two of the Champions of Golf stable will be on show at the Oxfordshire venue for at least the 8th and 9th of April.
A maximum of 240 players will begin the first round, playing on either the Red or the Blue course at Frilford and then follow the first days play with a second round on the opposite course to give them a two round total before the cut is made. The lowest 80 players and ties will then head to the final round to be played over the Red course once again where finally the top 60 players will each receive their exemption onto the EuroPro Tour for the season. Players in positions 1-30 after the final round will receive category 3 exemption on the tour for the season and those finishing in 31-60 will receive category 6 which should still entitle them to a full playing season.
2010 Stoke-by-Nayland EuroPro champions Gary Wolstenholme is using the week as a warm up for the EUropean Senior Tour season as he looks to supplement a rather sparse calendar with some EuroPro events and enjoys the compeitive nature the Qualifying School brings to get him match sharp.
Scottish PGA champions Gareth Wright also looks to start his season well with a strong showing at Frilford as he bids to gain his playing privileges for the forthcoming year.
Gary and Gareth both begin their first rounds on the Red course at 8.15AM and 1.00PM respectively before starting round two on the Blue course at 12.30PM and 8.45AM respectively.
Everyone at Champions wish them both well and please use the www.europrotour.com link to follow the live scoring.
