The next and final hurdle on Champions of Golf's Neil Fenwick's 2015 golf calendar is the Matchroom Sport Tour Championship on the HotelPlanner.com EuroPro Tour.
A Challenge Tour card, which means playing privileges on the second tier of professional European golf, is what Neil is playing for. Currently the top five players will achieve this dream and Neil is at the moment residing in 8th position. However all is not lost, the man from Dunbar Golf Club is only behind 5th place by £2,500 and with an £88,000 prize fund, with the winner getting £20,000 and second place earnings £10,000, the stakes could not be higher for Neil and his fellow professionals.
Neil has enjoyed many successes this season both on and off the golf course as not only has he won three Scottish PGA Pro-Am events, including most recently the Tomatin 54 Hole Pro-Am, but he has also recorded five top 10 finishes on the EuroPro Tour itself out of his 15 starts. Off the course, Neil was delighted to announce earlier in the season the news that his partner Siobhan and him will be expecting their first child in the coming months, and everyone at Champions of Golf wish them all the best for this exciting new arrival.
Back to the golf course Neil has been practicing hard having not played on the EuroPro Tour for over a month but has kept himself busy in minor regional and PGA events and is heading to Desert Springs in Almeria for the Tour finals this week full of confidence focused on the job he needs to do.
