Former World Number One Scott Arnold Joins the Champions of Golf Team

Australian born professional golfer Scott Arnold has signed for Leicestershire based management company Champions of Golf. Scott is the latest high profile touring professional to join the talent stable following the likes of Scott Henry, Neil Fenwick and Gareth Wright.

Scott is not only a very accomplished professional golfer but he also achieved great success as an amateur, the highlight being becoming the number one ranked golfer in the World Amateur Golf Rankings for a total of five weeks back in early 2009. An accomplishment that proves Scott definitely has the talent to win at the highest level of the game especially with support from the Champions of Golf team.

Fellow Champions of Golf stable mate and golfing legend Tony Jacklin CBE, close friend of Scott, commented;

“Scott is a great guy and a very talented player. He has found it difficult in recent years splitting his time between his home in Australia and the European Tour which has been tiring on him mentally and physically. However now with the support of Champions and a network of people around him in his team, having spent a lot of time with him on and off course, Scott has a wonderful opportunity to succeed this year on the Challenge Tour and progress to the highest level of European golf”.

Some of Scott’s victories include the 2006 Hong Kong Amateur Championship, the 2008 Riversdale Cup and the 2009 Australian Amateur Championship. Having turned professional in 2009 following his Australian success Scott went on to play on the European Tour, Challenge Tour, OneAsia Tour and PGA Tour of Australasia. He lifted his first professional title in January 2012 where he won the Victorian Open at Spring Valley Golf Club in Melbourne.

Scott will play a full season on the European Challenge Tour as he bids to progress and earn his full playing privileges for the European Tour again in 2015.

Everyone at Champions UK plc is delighted Scott has decided to join the camp and we all look forward to working with him going forward.
