The Gleneagles Scottish PGA Championship OOM on the Horizon

Defending Champion and Champions of Golf ambassador, Gareth Wright, will tee it up at Gleneagles beginning on Sunday 3rd April at the Gleneagles Scottish PGA Championship OOM as he bids to make it two victories in two years.

With rounds of 69, 70 and 68 gave Gareth a share of the lead heading into the final round where a closing 68, including a birdie on the final hole was just enough to secure overall victory by a single shot. As Gareth, newly appointed Head Professional at West Linton Golf Club, heads back to Gleneagles, he will be drawing on the positive memories from 2014 as he bids for an historical back to back victory.

Fellow Champions of Golf ambassador and Gareth's stablemate, Neil Fenwick, will also take part in Gleneagles ahead of a return to EuroPro action as the season kicks off in May at Celtic Manor. Last year Neil finished just 7 shots adrift of Gareth's winning score, and the good friends will hope that a bit of friednyl rivalry will be enough to spur them on to a close battle for the 2015 title.

Gareth kicks the tournament off at 07.30 alongside Andrew Jowett and Stephen McAllister in round one before playing with the same partners in round two at 11.30 the following day.

Neil is alongside friend and compatriot, Open winner Paul Lawrie and Gavin Hay beginning at 10.00 in round one and then 14.00 in round two.

You can follow all of the scores from Scotland through the PGA Scotland website at http://pgagbi.bluegolf.com/bluegolf/pgagbi15/event/pgagbi15664/contest/1...

We wish both Gareth and Neil well for the week!
