After earning his full European Tour playing privileges in 2014 after a scintillating finish to the season including a Challenge Tour win at the Foshan Open and a second place finish only a week later at the Bank of Oman Classic, Jason heads to South Africa for his first event a member of the European Tour.
This week sees the European Tour kick off in full at the Alfred Dunhill Championship played around the magnificent Leopard Creek Country Club in Malelane, South Africa. Jason will be competing against South African golfing royalty as he takes to the first tee as he goes head to head with 2010 Open winner Louis Oosthuizen and three time Leopard Creek Champion Charl Schwartzel.
The course, designed by the most legendary South African of them all, Gary Player, has many hazards around its 18 holes, not to mention a selection of Africa's most impressive wildlife including, a hippopotamus, leopards, waterbuck,, bushbuck, crocodiles and impala to name but a few, so the players will have to keep their eyes open for all sorts of wildlife including the usual birdies and eagles.
Jason's one handed chipping technique has been the talk of the fairways since he broke onto the circuit and with features in Todays Golfer, on CNN and Sky Sports television as well as on the BBC his profile has risen to new heights. However his feet are firmly on the ground as he looks to make the cut in South Africa in his first event and get his season off to a strong start.
He begins his first round at 12.50 (10.50 UK time) alongside South Africans Titch Moore and Haydn Porteous.
To follow all of the live scoring from South Africa please log onto the European Tour website at http://www.europeantour.com/index.html or tune in to Sky Sports from Thursday (11th December) morning to see the live action unfold.
Good luck Jason!
