Kirby Muxloe amateur David Mitchell held off the challenge of the European Tour player and Champions of Golf professional Jason Palmer at his home club to claim The Leicestershire inaugural Winter Series Open order of merit trophy.
The golfers' best four cards counted out of the six tournaments, and Mitchell finished in a tie with Jason on 137. However, Mitchell lifted the trophy on countback.
Another pro, Paul Streeter (Lincoln Golf Centre), was third on 135, with Cosby amateur Mark Manship fourth on 134 and host club amateur Richard Wale fifth on 130.
In the final counting round, Nick Whitehead (Atherstone) led the way with his 38 points tally by one from Adie Crane (Scraptoft).
Host club assistant pro Ian Lyner was the top pro on the day with 35 points, sharing the mark with three amateurs, including home member Mark Simons.
