After a couple of weeks at home having spent the previous four weeks on the road across the Middle East, Jason has worked hard on his game and is keen to get back into the 'swing' of things by joining up with his fellow European Tour professionals at the inaugural hosting of the Hero Indian Open this week.
Following the handover of Jason's new Mercedes-Benz Vito Sport-X with his sponsors Mertrux last week, Jason has hopped on a plane and arrived in India back on the European Tour. Having never been to India before, the whole experience is a new and exciting one for Jason and he will be hoping to build on the strong start he has had this season on the European Tour. Having made three cuts in five tournaments to begin the season Jason is currently in 161st position on the Order of Merit.
At under 7,000 yards the Championship course in New Delhi features undulating greens and narrow fairways, both of which should suit the accurate but not necessarily 'Rory long' Jason. Matched with this the warm and dry weather Jason should be well placed to finish well this week having claimed the Foshan Open title on the Challenge Tour in 2014 in similar conditions before finishing in the top three the following week in Oman.
Jason begins his first round alongside Sam Walker and Jeunghun Wang teeing off on Thursday afternoon at 13.00 (07.30 UK time). He also plays alongside Sam and Jeunghun for round two on Friday beginning at 08.30 (03.00 UK time).
