Only ten days after fellow Scottish professional golfer and European Tour member Scott Henry joined Leicestershire based sports management agency, Champions of Golf, we are delighted to announce Neil Fenwick has also joined the stable for three years.
The 25 year old golfer from Dunbar Golf Club turned professional from amateur in 2007, having been introduced to the game by his father, receiving professional lessons from the age of 8. Throughout his junior years he was very successful representing Baberton Golf Club and the Lothians Golf Association.
Working at the Kings Acre golf course and driving range Neil began his Professional Golfers Association (PGA) training before continuing his studies whilst playing and learning at the Dunbar Golf Club, where he still plays today, representing them on the European Challenge Tour. Having recently completed the three year PGA course, Neil now has a very strong understanding of not only the game of golf but also the intricacies of golf management, and more importantly the business of golf.
In his early professional years Neil played the majority of his golf on the very successful Tartan Tour but having earned his European Challenge Tour card at the first time of asking at Qualifying School back in November 2013 at the PGA Catalunya Resort in Spain, Neil is very excited about the future:
"To be playing on the European Challenge Tour is a culmination of the hard work I have been putting in over the years with my team. I know it will be a step up from the Tartan Tour but that has given me great experience which i will use throughout the year travelling Europe with the Challenge Tour. The experience and knowledge that Champions of Golf will bring will also be critical to achieving my goal of playing on the European Tour, and i can’t wait to get out there playing".
The European Challenge Tour season gets underway in Kenya at the Barclays Kenya Open in March.
Champions of Golf would like to wish Neil all the very best for the 2014 season and great success for the coming years.
