This week we once again have an array of golfers out and about across Europe battling on three tours for their latest pieces of silverwear!
After a weeks layoff from the completion of the US PGA Seniors Championship in Michigan, Gary Wolstenholme MBE is heading to Essex as he takes part in the ISPS Handa PGA Senior Championship at Stoke-by-Nayland Golf Club. The last time Gary visited the golf course he went away with a little extra luggage as he claimed the EuroPro Stoke-by-Nayland title after a scintilating 15 under par total for the three rounds, eventually running out victorious by four strokes. Therefore when he steps onto the first tee on Thursday (5th June) he will be full of confidence and out to pick up his fourth piece of European Senior Tour silverwear.
Also in action but this time on the European Challenge Tour is Jason Palmer. After a slow start to the season by his standards Jason is keen to have a strong June and with four Challenge Tour tournaments making up his schedule for the month he is keen to take momentum from the Fred Olsen Challenge in the Canary Islands this week with a strong showing on a course which he likes and has done well on previously.
The final Champions of Golf player in action is Scott Henry. Scott will compete at the Lyoness Open on the main European Tour for the second week in a row after taking part in the Nordea Masters, last week in Sweden at the PGA National course in Malmo. At the Lyoness Open powered by Greenfinity in 2013 Scott shot a second roun 66 to make the cut and competed strongly over the weekend which will be a good boost ahead of returning to the Diamond Country Club in Austria this week.
You can follow all of the live scoring from England, Spain and Austria live through the European Tour's website: www.europeantour.com.
We all wish Scott, Gary and Jason the very best wishes for the week ahead!
