Champions of Golf stars Jason Palmer and Scott Henry will compete at the South African Open as the European Tour schedule gets into full swing once again. Morten Ørum Madsen of Denmark will defend his title at Glendower Golf Club in Johannesburg against a strong field that includes home favourites Charl Schwartzel and Ernie Els.
Jason is new to the tour and is coming off the back of two incredible season on the Alps Tour and Challenge Tour respectively that have seen him earn qualification onto the biggest golfing stage in Europe. We are all hoping he will be able to continue his superb run of form into the new year.
Scott will play on both the European Tour and Challenge Tour this year and will be looking for another strong season after finishing in the top 25 on the latter tour last season. The best result of his career so far was winning the Kazakhstan Open in 2012 and it would be a fantastic feat to post a strong finish in South Africa.
Scott will be teeing off at 04:30 GMT alongside Gerlou Roux and Jacques Kruyswijk while Jason will be teeing off at 05:40 GMT alongside Doug McGuigan and Hendrik Buhrmann.
