After a wash out week in Madeira the European Tour turns its attention to one of the most iconic venues it visits in the season as the Trophee Hassan II takes place at the Golf du Palais Royal in the picturesque palatial grounds of the home of the King of Morocco, Mohammed VI.
Alejandro Canizares lifted the title in 2014, the first of his European career, after an impressive wire-to-wire victory holding off Englishman Andy Sullivan. Not only is this event special due to the course being in the grounds of the Royal palace and only used to host this event but the Trophee Hassan II for the second time will run concurrently alongside a Ladies European Tour event at the neighboring Golf du l’Ocean course which was the scene of young English superstar Charley Hull's first professional victory last year.
Despite travelling to Madeira last week and only playing 18 holes, Scott Henry is eager to play and begins the event on Thursday teeing off at 1.40pm alongside Peter Lawrie and Ayoub Lguirati (AM) who he also partners on Friday for round two at 9.05am.
Jason Palmer fresh off a week at home after another 4 week stretch on tour gets underway with Andrea Pavan and Ricardo Gonzalez in round one at 1.50pm and then at 9.15am on Friday in round two with Andrea and Ricardo once again.
