The former World Number 1 amateur and Ping ambassador has returned home to Australia for some warm weather golf as the European Challenge Tour season doesnt get started until March. Having secured his maiden Challenge Tour title at the 2015 Cordon Golf Open, Scott returned hom assured of a full category for 2016 so he has started the season more relaxed than ever.
This week in Australia the European Tour has come to town though and with Scott having finished high enough in the regional Order of Merit from 2015, he has earned his place at the 2016 ISPS Handa Perth International event, this week played at Lake Karrinyup.
The inaugural Perth International event took place in 2012 and boasts a $2million prize fund, depsite the event not taking place in 2015, some of the European Tour's biggest names including Ryder Cup players Stephen Gallacher and Victor Dubuisson to name but a few, will be competing this year.
