Scott to make Open debut!

One of Golf's most iconic championships begins at one of sports most recogniseable venues this week, the Open returns to the Home of Golf, St Andrews. Held in the shadow of the magnificent R&A clubhouse in the heart of St Andrews, the championship is in its 144th year and this will be one of the most hotly contested titles to date.

So much has been made in recent days about the absence of world numbe one and defending champion Rory McIlroy who had to withdraw last week after an unfortunate footballing injury however world number two, hot on Rory's heels, Jordan Spieth, who incidentally won the John Deere Classic on the PGA Tour on Sunday is the much acclaimed favourite to lift the Claret Jug.

One man out to spoil the Spieth party though is Champions of Golf professional Scott Arnold. Scott earned his place at the first major of his career having won the qualifying event at Hillside Golf Club only a few weeks ago and will now tee it up alongside, former champions, legends of the game, major winners and other professionals.

Everyone at Champions and all of Scott's sponsors wish him well for the week ahead in St Andrews.
