Scott Henry this week makes a welcome comeback to the European Tour as he competes in the NH Collection Open, at La Reserva de Sotogrande Club de Golf, Cadiz, Spain.
The 2014 Race to Dubai touches down on European soil for the first time this week when the prestigious La Reserva de Sotogrande Club de Golf plays host to the inaugural NH Collection Open.
The dual-ranking event – which counts towards both The European Tour’s Race to Dubai and the European Challenge Tour Rankings - will mark the first time The European Tour has visited this venue, which is nestled on the coast of southern Spain just a few hundred metres from the famous Club de Golf Valderrama.
A strong field, including 44 European Tour winners, will battle it out for the €600,000 prize fund and, while the money will be capped to €450,000 for the purposes of the Challenge Tour Rankings, it will also be a big week for players fighting it out for graduation from the second tier.
Scott currently finds himself in 200th place in the Race to Dubai Order of Merit having played in only three tournaments this year and will be hoping the first event back in Europe will be the first of many as he drives for the illusive top 110 places come the season ending grand finale in Dubai in November.
Scott begins his first round alongside Marco Crespi and Brinson Paolini teeing off at 15.10 (14.10 UK time). He plays alongside the same two players for the second round, getting underway at 10.20 local time.
You can catch all the action from Spain on Sky Sports television throughout the week or follow the live scoring through the website of European Tour.
Everyone at Champions and all of Scott’s sponsors wish him the best of luck for the NH Collection in Spain this week.
