As another year draws to a close the European Senior Tour heads to the sunny shores of Mauritius for the grand final MCB Tour Championships held at the wonderful Constance Belle Mare Plage.
This will be the 7th year that Mauritius has held the curtain closer for the senior tour and it boasts a field that reflects what a stellar year it has been for the over 50’s. With Colin Montgomerie, Barry Lane, Paul Wesselingh and of course Champions of Golf’s own 2015 Prostate Cancer UK Scottish Senior Open Champion Paul Broadhurst and three time European Senior Tour winner Gary Wolstenholme MBE.
Paul is in prime position to take the Rookie of the Year title, in 14th position on the overall Order of Merit after only playing three events, €17,000 ahead of his nearest rival in 20th position.
Lying in 36th position Gary needs a solid performance in Mauritius around a course that should suit him and that provide good memories having finished 6th in 2011 and 3rd in 2010, his best finish at the vent in the five years he has competed.
Gary gets underway at 10.10am local time (06.10 UK time) alongside Gary Emerson in round one on Friday 11th December. Paul begins at 11.40 (07.40 UK time) playing with Anders Forsbrand.
