With Stage 1 of The EuroPro Tour school coming to close Champions of Golf professional Tom Reid will have to wait a little longer to see if he has a place in the line up for Final Stage at Frilford Heath on the 2nd April.
Having fired an opening round of level par to lie in a tie for 12th position, Tom finished the event with a final total of +5, finishing well inside the top 50 on the leaderboard, but remains as 3rd alternate from his venue to make the final stage.
In addition , friend of Champions and Big Break Golf Champion Mark Murphy, also playing in the first round of Qualifying School, but at a different venue to Tom, secured his place at Frilford as he opened round one with the clubhouse lead on one under par and returned a total for the event of +3, good enough for a third place tie overall.
