Tony Jacklin CBE to practise his swing on Strictly Come Dancing!

Golfing legend Tony Jacklin CBE will be swapping the greens for the dancefloor on this year’s series of Strictly Come Dancing.

Tony appeared on today’s edition of ‘The One Show’ (Friday 30th August) hosted by Chris Evans and Alex Jones when the announcement was officially made.

Sportsmen including Darren Gough, Mark Ramprakash, Peter Shilton and Willie Thorne have appeared on the show before but Tony is the first golfer to compete for the title.

Tony said: “I am delighted to be appearing on the nation’s biggest TV show. I’m sure it will throw up many challenges but I’m looking forward to it!”
