As the second major of the season began yesterday, all eyes were on Luke Donald at the US Open being played at Merion.
Despite poor weather conditions which affected play, Donald finished for the day with a score of four under par through 13 holes.
Thrilled to see the former world number one taking the lead, Tony is hoping Donald will be the first Englishman to win the tournament since Tony’s ground breaking victory at Hazeltine.
‘I hope Luke Donald maintains his successful form and enjoys a steady round today. It would be wonderful to see him challenging at the weekend and I wish him the very best of luck. Here’s hoping for an English win!’
