Champions of Golf professionals Marc Warren and Graeme Storm enjoyed very strong starts to this years Irish Open held at Carton House.
Both players found themselves in the second half of the draw on day one teeing off after lunchtime. Marc played alongside 2012 Scottish Open Champion Jeev Milkha Singh and Simon Khan. He got off to a consistent start recording five pars to open followed by four birdies to complete the front nine. His only blemish on the back nine was a bogey at the 14th hole, resulting in a three under par total, enough to earn him a tie for 11th position.
Graeme found himself on the same score after five birdies in his opening nine holes, two bogeys and eleven pars gave Graeme an opening round of 69, also in a tie for 11th place. This event is always a favourite of Graeme's as he spends his off course time with one of his closest friends, Irish professional and local favouirte Shane Lowry.
