Jason Competing at the 2013 Alps Tour - Red Sea Little Venice Open

Champions of Golf had another great week on the fairways around the world as 6 players were in action including Scott Jamieson at the Volvo World Matchplay (European Tour), Graeme Storm and Matthew Southgate playing at the Madeira Islands Open (European/Challenge Tour), Jason Palmer competing at the Gosser Open (Alps Tour) and finally Nick James and Kevin Garwood who attended the Astbury Hall Classic (Euro Pro Tour).

Scott, making his first appearance in the Volvo World Matchplay Championship, began in fine fashion, defeating both opponents in his group to go through as group winner. Scott then faced Chile's Felipe Aguilar in the last 16 knock out phase and was again victorius. Thonghchai Jaidee was Scott's next opponent in the Qarter Finals and after a very tight match, Thongchai narrowly prevailed and Scott was knocked out but not before once again securing his name in the world elite of golf after such a fine display throughout the week. Thongchai subsequently reached the final where Ryder Cup hero Graeme McDowell beat him 2&1 to lift the title, 12 months after Nicolas Colsaerts befeated him at the same stage.

jason Palmer attempted to equal Scott's fine top 5 finish as he entered the final round of the Gosser Open on the Alps Tour. Jason played exceptionally well and returned an overall score of 9 under par after an opening round of 3 under (69) and a closing round of 6 under (66). This professional display in the pressure of the final round just shows the development Jason has made in recent months after he began off course work with NutraFit, working on the health and fitness side of his game. Jason couldnt quite match the top 5 finish but his fine display was good enough for 6th and he retains his 6th place also on the Alps Tour Order of Merit.

Marc Warren enjoyed a week off ahead of his return at the BMW PGA Championships, Wentworth this week. He managed to spend some quality time with new  his new baby boy Archie and also work on his game with Michael Walker, his coach. Gary Wolstenholme MBE and Mark Mouland have made their way to St Louis where Bellerive Golf and Country Club hosts the first European Senior Tour event of the year, and what a way to start, the US Senior PGA Championships, good luck to all of them.

This week also see's Jason back out on the Alps Tour, playing in Italy at the Perugia Open. Matthew Southgate will travel to belgium to compete at the Telenet Trophy on the Challenge Tour as Scott Jamieson, Marc Warren and Graeme Storm challenge for the European Tour's flagship event trophy, the BMW PGA Championship.

Good luck to all Champions of Golf players across the globe!
