Gary heads back to his amateur roots for Ping fitting

Tomorrow (24th November) Gary will head to Gainsborough to visit the European headquarters and factory for Ping golf. The family owned company founded in 1959 in the garage of Karsten Solheim was born of Karstens putting frustrations, he therefore decided to design his own putter which made a ‘pinging’ sound when striking the ball. Today the brand is synonymous with innovation, quality and service in the world of golf and continues to be one of the most respected and highly though of businesses in the game.

Gary has long been an advocate of Ping equipment right through his amateur times playing with England and Great Britain and Ireland on the way to claiming over 200 England caps and lifting 4 Walker Cup trophies. Since turning professional Gary has been on the quest to find the perfect set up in equipment despite already having three European Senior Tour titles to his name.

This quest has this month lead him to Gainsborough as he looks to test the newest ranges Ping have to offer with a view to carrying their brand throughout his bag and accessorie range in the 2016 European Senior Tour season.

Please check back for more information on Gary’s equipment page to see what he will have in play for the coming season.
