Ian Woosnam Finally Honoured by Wolrd Golf Hall of Fame

Friend of Champions of Golf and supporter of the Farmfoods British Par 3 Championship, Ian Woosnam OBE, has been inducted into the World Golf's Hall of Fame.

The 1991 Masters Champion from Wales is amongst five honorees this year, nicknamed the 'Class of 2017' which includes Davis Love and LPGA Tour player but now retired Lorena Ochoa.

Woosnam is a former world number one, a position he held for 50 weeks at the height of his reign and along with his Masters victory is most well known for skippering the European Ryder Cup team to victory at the K Club in Ireland in 2006.

The honour has been long overdue, especially when considering a number of other players, already inducted, dont have the pedigree and history within the game that Ian boasts.

Everyone at Champions of Golf congratulate Ian on his achievement and wish him well for the rest of the PGA Champions Tour and European Senior Tour seasons and beyond, look forward to seeing you again at the next Farmfoods British Par 3 Championship Ian!
