Oman Hosts Challenge Tour Season Finale

This week the Challenge Tour swings into town for the season finale Tour Championship at the Almouj Golf resort in Muscat, Oman.

A tournament reserved for only the top 45 players on the Order of Merit at the final cut off, the event is a straight shoot out for ultimate glory, the opportunity of a win but also the golden ticket to the European Tour. Whilst the ultimate dream of making the European Tour proper isn't achievable for everyone competing in Oman, there is still much gold to be played for and keep everyone's interest peaked.

However two people that are still in contention for a place inside the top 15 on the Order of Merit are Champions of Golf's own Scott Henry and Scott Arnold.

Following his runner up finish at the Madeira Islands Open early in the year Scott Henry is in 20th position on the Order of Merit heading into this week trailing the magic number 15 spot by around 7,000 EURO, with one of the biggest prize funds of the season for the Challenge Tour players a top 10 finish will be required if Scott is to stand any chance of progressing back to the main tour in 2016.

The task ahead of Scott Arnold is less straight forward, despite winning earlier in the season at the Cordon France Open Scott Arnold is more than 23,000 EURO behind John Hahn in 15th position and so nothing short of a podium finish will be good enough if Scott is to progress.

Scott Henry tees off in round one tomorrow (Thursday 3rd November) at 08.58 (04.58 UK time) alongside Max Orrin and Brandon Stone. Scott Arnold gets his campaign underway at 08.14 (04.14) alongside Robert Coles and Sebastian Soderberg.

Everyone at Champions of Golf wish both Scott's the very best of luck for thie week in Oman, see you out there!
