Farmfoods British Par 3

Taking place in the leafy surroundings of the gorgeous Nailcote Hall, the Farmfoods British Par 3 Championship is one of the country’s most historic and celebrated golf tournaments, receiving extensive media coverage with thousands of spectators passing through the gates each year.

Hosted by World Golf Hall of Famer and Ryder Cup Legend Tony Jacklin CBE; the four-day event which includes two star-studded Celeb-Am days and a Pro-Am tournament boasting a €150,000 prize fund on the testing holes of the Cromwell course.

The likes of LGPA legend Dame Laura Davies, Masters Champions Danny Willett, and Ian Woosnam OBE, Britain’s number one Charley Hull, 2005 US Open champion Michael Campbell and European Tour star Tommy Fleetwood are just a few of the names Champions of Golf have managed to secure for the event in the past.

The tournament is broadcast by Sky Sports to an audience of millions, whilst Challenge TV have also broadcast the celebrity parts of the tournament. The celebrities involved in the event have included football legend Sir Alex Ferguson, BBC presenter Dan Walker, and Coronation Street icon Bill Roache MBE, who have all been able to compete with the professionals at arguably the world’s premier example of a Par 3 course.

Famed for its sense of fun, the atmosphere around the tournament has been described as the ‘perfect golfing garden party’, and with a luxurious and stylish tented village showcasing brands ofthe highest quality including Moet &Chandon Champagne as well as interactive golf simulators, and an onsite salon it’s no wonder why!

The 2017 Farmfoods British Par 3 Championship was won by 2010 champion Richard O’Hanlon with a two-shot advantage, after a tense final day. The overnight leader kept his composure and nerves to retain his lead from the first round and win, with an overall score of five under par across the two rounds. It was enough to take the victory and the €50,000 prize that comes with the honour, and become a two-time champion

The 85th edition of the championship takes place at Nailcote Hall from the 7th to the 10th August 2018. For more information on playing or sponsorship opportunities and for tickets log on to the official tournament website here: http://britishpar3.com/
