BP3 star Meghan MacLaren aiming to qualify for LPGA Tour

England’s Meghan MacLaren goes into the final qualifying stage of the LPGA, hoping to secure her place on America’s most prominent women’s tour.

Meghan impressively fought her way through the second qualification phase, finishing T3 on nine under; with fellow Englishwoman Georgia Hall topped the field finishing 12 under. It’s the latest result of a successful year for the 23-year-old in 2017 that has seen her rocket up the world rankings, from 1037 last October, to 301 by the same time this year.

In August, Meghan finished tied fourth in the Farmfoods British Par 3 championship, finishing level with European Senior Tour pros Andre Bossert and Gary Wolstenholme MBE, and just three shots off eventual winner Richard O’Hanlon. 2017 has also seen Meghan finish top of the LET Access Series Order of Merit, designed as the official development tour to the Ladies European Tour, as well as landing her first top 10 finish in a Ladies European Tour event finishing tied 6th in the Andalucia Costa Del Sol Open De Espana Femenino.

The third stage of the qualification for the LPGA Tour takes place at the LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Florida on the picturesque yet challenging Hills Course between November 29th – December 3rd 2017. We wish Meghan well, and hope she can round off an impressive 2017 with an LPGA 2018 card!
