As the European Tour enters its closing stages, nicknamed the Final Series, for 2013, Lake Malaren plays host to the BMW Masters which see's some of the world's elite compete over the challenging Shanghai course for the $7million prize fund event.
Scott Jamieson and Marc Warren, two of the Champions of Golf stable, qualified for this limited 78 man field event and are both competing strongly. At the conclusion of the second days play Scott is currently in a tie for second place, four strokes behind the halfway leader, American Luke Guthrie, however after recording one of the best rounds of the day, a four under par 68, in very difficult windy conditions, Scott will be confident heading into the weekend.
Having posted the clubhouse lead for a short time before Guthrie completed his round, Scott will be alongside the American for the third round teeing off at 11.20 local time. On a rich vain of form in recent weeks after returning strong performances in the Seve Trophy and Portugal Masters in the last three weeks, Scott is focused on the BMW Masters title, which brings with it the opportunity to compete in the WGC HSBC Championships next week, with the final spot open for this weeks victor.
