Only a week after the great success of the Famrfoods British Par 3 Championships, the European, Challenge and Seniors Tours are back in full swing this week.
Gary Wolstenholme MBE, who finished tied 3rd at the Par 3 last week only one shot adrift of eventual winner Eddie Pepperell, has made his way to St Andrews, the home of golf to take part in the SSE Scottish Senior Open around the Torrance designed championship Fairmont golf course. Currently residing in 22nd place on the Order of Merit, Gary will be keen to replicate his finish last year where he finished inside the top 20.
Also on tour is Gareth Wright who is playing alongside Neil Fenwick in The Break90 Classic at Slaley Hall in Northumberland on the EuroPro tour. Gareth finished 18th at the Par 3 last week and after honing his skills with the wedges will be looking for a strong finish to the season. Neil is currently 12th on the EuroPro Order of Merit and with the top 5 getting spots on the Challenge Tour for 2015, he has his own goals for the remainder of the season.
The final event that has Champions of Golf talent in its starting field is the Vacon Open in Finland on the European Challenge Tour. Scott Arnold and Jason Palmer are the two golfers in questions and after a 7th place finish in last weeks Norwegian Open, Scott will be looking for a successful end to the Scandinavian swing. Jason who is on the borderline of retaining his playing priviledges for 2015, 45th on the Order of Merit, will also be competing to strengthen his position.
Scott gets his first round underway on Thursday morning at 08.40 (06.40 UK) alongside Johan Edfors and Bjorn Akesson. Jason begins the same afternoon at 14.20 (12.20 UK) alongside Sam Hutsby and Dodge Kemmer.
